.jpg) Ganbold Batjargal is 55 years old and lives with his wife, Urantuya, and six children. Ganbold started carving wood by 2000 and is a self-taught woodcarver. He noticed foreigners were buying wooden souvenirs and wanted to try his hand at the craft. Now he has been carving wood for over 20 years. He is extremely talented and has been able to support his family with his home-based woodcarvings. His family also helps in the work. With the global pandemic of 2020, tourism dried up in Mongolia, and Ganbold was extremely grateful to find Elevita to help him sell his beautiful carvings.
