  These are photos of Elevita's capiz shell cooperative in the Philippines.
First, the shells, an abundant natural resource, are gathered and sorted.
Then they formed into shapes and baked in a special oven to produce beautiful wares.
Elevita's Capiz Shell Enterprise has afforded work and school opportunities for about 20 artisans in need. |
