Eleanor Demetrio lives in the Philippines near Manila. In a country with severe underemployment, she tries to earn extra money by engaging in her long-time passion of accessory making. Eleanor just had her first baby, and she is using beading as a way to help provide for the needs of her child. She was very grateful for the opportunity to make chipstone necklaces for Elevita. In addition to meeting their daily needs, Eleanor is hopeful that continued jewelry sales will allow her to save for the future schooling of her baby.
