Julie Pura lived in very humble circumstances in the Philippines as a bag weaver and a mother of six children. Julie's village did not provide a large enough market to make her bag trade sustainable, so the family had many unmet needs. Elevita was excited to discover Julie and place an order of her beautiful bags. With her first payment from Elevita, Julie was able to cement the dirt floor in her hut and purchase a motor scooter, her family's only mode of transportation.
